I slutet av Oktober åkte jag till London för att hälsa på familjen och ha en mini semester, då jag kände att jag behövde byta miljö/en paus. London välkomnade mig med värme, bokstavligen, det första jag gjorde var att packa ner min vinterkappa längst ner i väskan. Mina två veckor där spenderades på att upptäcka platser jag tidigare missat, äta god mat och hänga med människor jag tycker om.
Som ni ser, i served looks varje dag. Alla ögonskuggor jag använde är från morphe 35B paletten, en ganska färgglad palett. Något jag inte är vann vid. Kände mig som ett litet barn igen när jag testade alla olika möjliga färger och matchade de med mina kläder.
Sådant jag hann med var att besöka House of Minalima. En liten konstaffär/museum som hade en Harry Potter utställning. Fanns allt möjligt från tidningsklipp av the daily prophet, Hogwarts brev utspridda vid en eldspis (gissar på att det är där mina brev hamnade) posters som gick att köpa samt en liten del av rekvisitan som användes under filmningen av harry potter filmerna. Lätt värt ett besök dit om man har tid! Det var lite som att befinna sig i en förtrollad värld när man inte hörde ljudet av bilarna/människorna utanför på Londons trånga gator.
Efter mitt besök på House of Minalima tog jag bussen vidare till Somerset house. Där hade Hassan Hajjaj sin utställning ”La Caravane”. Aldrig hört talas om honom innan, men vart kär i hans konst från första ögonkastet. Bilder på grymma kvinnor i traditionella marockanska kläder poserande på motorcyklar. Konservburkar fungerade som ramar runt bilderna. En visuell utställning på olika personer varav några sjunger, någon rappar och någon trummar. Det var lätt det coolaste mest inspirerande jag sett på länge. Ändå fint att få vittna något så vackert och kunna relatera till det.
Det bästa med resan var all god mat jag åt. Hann äta på Dishoom, säger bara W O W. GODASTE INDISKA MATEN!!! Ni måste äta där om ni har vägarna förbi London! Hann även bocka av Nandos (det första jag gjorde typ) samt Domino’s pizza, deras vegetariska pizza med vitlöksdressing är A L L T. Sen upptäckte jag världens godaste falafel från Magic Falafel i camden stables. Helt sjuk. Samt att Pret a mangers chai latte och scones från Sainsbury är en perfekt kombo.
Annat som jag hann med var ett besök på kentish town farm med familjen, stanna och dokumentera fina halloween dekorerade hus på mina promenader, mumsa på våfflor och sambus köpta från camden stables och njuta av londons höst väder. 15 grader i oktober tänk er det.
Denna resa var verkligen en väl behövd paus som utnyttjades till fullo. Utöver att jag hann göra massa roligt insåg jag även hur mycket jag har utvecklats och växt. Att min ångest inte har lika mycket makt över mig längre. Jag håller på att bli frisk och det känns bra! Ibland behöver man komma ut ur sin lilla bubbla för att kunna se saker så som de är.
