Hela VBDFR + 3D Na’Tee i Stockholm, november 2013.
Ni som följt vår podd och vårt bloggande vet att VBDFR har en särskilt varm plats i hjärtat för 3D Na’Tee. Det är snart två år sedan Na’Tee släppte mixtapet The Coronation, som jag fortfarande håller som ett av de bästa rapalbum/mixtapes jag vet. Alltså, jag är dåligt på listor men Na’Tee är på min topp tio, och The Coronation tillsammans med Foxy Browns Broken Silence är de skivor som betytt mest för mig på ett personligt plan.
Två saker sticker ut i min lilla ”karriär” som bloggare och nån sorts hobby-rapjournalist, eller två grejer har betytt extra mycket för mig. Den första är det här, där Na’Tee alltså googletranslateade min recension av The Coronation, och nästan rördes till tårar av vad jag skrev om mixtapet. Den andra är till exempel bilden ovan, att vi fucking flög hit Na’Tee för att spela på vår tvåårsfest förra året. Jag är otroligt stolt över det, asså på riktigt, det är det bästa jag gjort! Igår blev det officiellt att Na’Tee nu signat ett majorkontrakt med Universal och Russel Simmons etikett All Def Digital.
Återigen blev jag helt rörd typ? Alltså jag har ju sagt förr att jag hejar på artister som andra hejar på sportlag, när dom vinner vinner jag osv. Det här är en sådan vinst för mig. Ingen förtjänar detta mer än Na’Tee, och jag är tvärsäker på att hon skrivit på den bästa tänkbara dealen någonsin. Jag är stolt över att ha varit en liten liten kugge i hennes karriär, att jag såg till att hon fick göra sin första utlandsspelning, och jag är sååå spänd på att få höra vad hon kommer kunna levera till oss med en majorbolag i ryggen.
