Rihanna performed her last show in Europe last night, at V Fest in England. Rihanna got up on stage in her own AW16 Fenty x Puma collection. Rihanna went out with a bang.

The collection, which features Rihanna’s close friend Naomi Campbell as the face of it’s campaign, will be in stores September 6. The pictures of Naomi are as fierce as they are edgy – everything they both stand for.

I gotta say nothing compares to seeing the collection on Rihanna though. There’s plenty of pieces we’re all gonna want to wear, but I’m not sure who’s going to be able to pull it off after seeing how it could be done:

Not to mention this promo pic PUMA just released….

yaaaaaaaay

While struck by her looks and this collection, I’m also so very sad that she’ll be leaving Europe now. It’s been amazing having her here and I’m scared we’ll have to wait another 3 years for it to happen again (even if I don’t think we’ll have to wait that long for the next album).

I’ve gotten to catch 4 shows myself and all of them were such an experience. The first set with Woo, Bitch Better Have My Money, Pour It Up, Numb, Birthday Cake etc was the highlight for me. It’s the ultimate party track and Rihanna looks so happy to perform each and every song. My second favorite set is the forth and final one (it can’t be number 1 when you know the show is about to end tbh). It’s the part of the show where she gets to shine, vocally and artistically, and there’s absolutely no doubt of how proud she is of the songs in it.

After the show last night, Rihanna revealed what her next single is going to be and to no one’s surprise it’s the already infamous Love on the brain. This song became a fan favorite as soon as ANTi dropped and has just continued to grow on us, her and the general audience with every performance.

Finally it’s becoming an official single, the forth off of ANTi.

On behalf of the entire navy I’d like to say THANK YOU for visiting us Rihanna! We’ve made so many memories together and for this we’re forever grateful. <3

THIS ANTi WORLD TOUR EXPERIENCE WAS A BLAST

For my first time seeing Rihanna in tour I decided to do things big. You know, Rihanna navy is like a family. I know a lot of navies through Instagram or Twitter but nobody really knows who I am. I’m not in what they like to call ‘the Elite Navy’. So I was afraid to do multiple shows and not meet anybody and have a sad experience. But when tickets went on sale, I was like ”Whatever Rebecca, take your tickets and you will see”. So I decided to go in Manchester first. It was a great date because I knew that a lot of navies would travel there so I thought that it would be fun. And Manchester show was also during my birthday. I never did that for any artist. And for my second show, of course I decided to go in Paris (because I live in Paris lol).

But Manchester was my first Rihanna date ever. I was so nervous. To meet all the navies, to see Rihanna on stage, to be alone, to be too far from the stage, I don’t know everything was weird in my head. But it was a whole nother story! Every moment I lived in Manchester was so good. When I met all the navies, we were drunk partying on Rihanna’s songs, we celebrate our show together, we sang together, we cried together, we were all happy at the same time, in the same place. It was magical. Really.

And Rihanna. Can words describe this feeling? For sure, no.

Do you know this feeling when you hear a music for the first time, when you listen to each beat, each note, when you hear the melody? When you go to a show this feeling is multiple by 1000000000. When I heard Rihanna sing ‘Stay’ for the first time, I immediately cried. I couldn’t retain my tears. Before the show I said to myself, ‘don’t cry, you’re a grown woman, you can do it’ lmao but I cried like a baby.

Manchester was on another level. I already saw her before, several times. At the R8 experience, in Paris street, at the Hard Rock Café… But on stage it’s something else. She loves her fans for real man. Like she gives all of herself on stage. She sings every word for us. She knows that when she sing ‘Needed Me’ she tells us her story but our story too.

But Manchester was not my fave show. Paris was. Because, damn. The vocals, her energy on stage, each show is not the same definitely. Each show has its specificity. In Paris, she bring something special. I don’t know how to describe it but it was a special night for me. My fave moment was the fourth act. When she comes with Needed Me following Same Ol’ Mistake (my fave song). These two songs live are an experience everybody have to live. I’m in love with this part of the show. Really if I could marry something it would be for sure ”Needed Me” and ”Same Ol’ Mistakes” live.

I was sad because Paris was supposed to be my last show. I wanted to try to meet her. But I already knew that other people ”deserve” it more than me. I thought that it wasn’t fair I don’t know. I was ok with the fact that I would probably never meet her. Anyway I was so happy to see her twice ??

Munich was unexpected. I didn’t plan to go there or to do a third date but my dear friend (@badgal_cindy) gifted me my last show. We were front row and it was amazing. But to be honest the crowd was not good (sorry) and I feel that she didn’t feel the vibe… Idk. She had fun in Munich but it wasn’t like Manchester or Paris. But it was cool anyway.

It was our last show and we tried everything we could to meet her so we waited like 2 hours in the backstage area. Then the moment arrived. My first tour, and the first time I talked to her, I hugged her, I met her ??. It was so special. But when I relive this moment I can’t stop laughing. We saw her 2 bodyguards ran in the street. We were only 4 girls waiting outside. Then she stopped her car. During like 30 seconds, I didn’t realize that she was stepping out her car. I was seated on the street, listening to Bryson Tiller, realizing that Rihanna was 5m in front of me. But I didn’t move lmao. I was like ”Hm ok, it’s Rihanna” and then I really realized lmaooo. The others 3 girls were already hugging her, crying, etc and then 3 minutes after I ran to meet her.

Do you know what perfection is? Lmao. ROBYN RIHANNA FENTY IS THE PERFECTION. Now I understand all the praises Drake always said on stage about Rih lmao. Man. She looks so damn good. She smells perfection, she reflects perfection. We just take few pictures, we talked 2 min but it’s enough. I’ll never forget this moment ?

Thank you all the navies that help me, thank you for all those amazing moments, thank you for all these memories. Thank you Melissa. Thank you Lele. And of course, thank you Rihanna. Thank you Robyn. Thank you to allow us to live this kind of experience. This stan experience. I achieved my goal for my first tour. And I’m so happy. I’ll never forget my first Badgalriri tour. OH FUCKING NO.

See you at the next tour ?

It’s all for me folks! Thank you ?

Remember the giant RiRi on display in Berlin? On June 5th I wrote that ”maybe RiRi will stop by herself during her AWT show in Berlin on August 16? I can definitely see it happen.”. Well, yesterday my predictions came through, documented in an epic story on Rihanna’s snapchat.

Rihanna went to visit the Ewaipanoma made by #JuanSebastianPelaez for #BerlinBiennale #bb9.

The day after her Berlin show Rihanna brought Jenn and Leandra to visit her boobs ”the biggest they’ll ever be” (quote RiRi) with the curators from DIS Magazine. Unfortunately the artist behind the piece – Juan Sebastián Peláez – is in Colombia and couldn’t witness the real Rihanna take on his giant onebut responded the only reasonable way when I asked how it felt to have her visiting his art work: ? ?

I’m having a really awful Monday. Woke up moody, went to work moody and just feel like everything sucks, including myself. Gonna try and those bad vibes with some RiRi and friends though. No lie they always cheer me up. Her crew is pure <3 and I’m so grateful they’ve all found each other. Utterly thankful that they let us into their world as often as they do. How many fans get to see this much of their fave’s private life? Blessed.

In honor of Fenty’s Vanguard Award I’ve listed her top 10 music videos (according to me). I think visuals are really personal and just like songs they will carry a different meaning depending on who you are and what you’re going through at the time.

Do you have a favorit RiRi video? Comment and let me know! When I hear someone explain why they enjoy a certain video it makes me see that piece in a whole new light (which I love!).

Like when my friend Ziggi called me to declare her love for Sledgehammer – saying the video is an orgasm from Madonna’s Frozen and Rihanna’s Pour it up having intergalactic sex. That sentence alone should be enough to convince anybody about the greatness of the video, but she went further.

”She sings about how she ”hit a wall” and was ”bracing for the pain” until she realized SHE’S THE FUCKING SLEDGEHAMMER!! It’s she that is punching holes in every fucking wall and when she’s least expecting it, when she feels she’s about to break, the bricks starts falling around her and she realize she’s the survivor. ”I gathered all my strength and I found myself whole.”
– Ziggi Willpower.

At number 10, here is Sledgehammer:

9, Needed me. It’s hardly a secret how much I love this video and why.

8, Te amo. Rihanna’s lesbian castle drama deserves way more praises than what it’s gotten. I discovered it after it’s release myself, but wow was I struck. Both song and video is steaming.

7, Kiss it betterShe’s so, strong, grown and grounded. My own ties to it is a bit too personal to blog about but know it will always hold a very special place in my heart. It’s at the point where I get chills every time I press play.

6, Man down. She guns down her rapist. No need for further explanation.

5, WorkThis is all HER. The accent, having her friends and family in the video, it taking place in a Caribbean joint, making eye-contact with herself in the mirror while dancing (this magical segment!!!).

4, Rude boy. Her movements!!! I remember playing this over and over again being completely hypnotized with what I saw. She’s so playful (and HOT) + the look, the feeling, everything is so visually pleasing.

3, Pon de replayA classic and what put her on the map. She has always had something so unique and completely undeniable about her. That thing that makes her Rihanna and no one else. First time seeing it was in Pon de replay. I’ll never forget the feeling and I’m yet to tire of it.

2, Bitch better have my money. A profound piece of intersectional feminist art. The video tells the story of a black woman taking revenge on the white man stealing from her and the white woman living off of the white man’s theft. The abused is taking revenge on her abusers. Very important work.

1, Pour it up. I’m not going to use my words for this, but instead pull quotes from this amazing conversation called Rihanna on my mind, in which three women discuss the video after it’s release.

”I feel like Rihanna has solidarity. Maybe that’s too wishful/ cheesy/ “nice” to say, but I felt like she had (this word again!) a basic respect for bitches who get their own. It wasn’t “look at them”; it was “look at us, we out here,” etc”
– Sarah Nicole Prickett

”Rihanna would rather be tricking than being a trick.”
– Susan Elizabeth Shepard

”It goes back to the money/ power/ agency. She doesn’t buy into traditional gender roles of music. She is having her cake and eating it too, omg.”
– Ayesha Siddiqi

”In the “Beez In The Trap” video, Nicki positions herself as a customer. She’s gazing at the strippers, not identifying with them. Rihanna aligning herself with the strippers instead of the customers is a pretty powerful image.”
– SES

”I think to be a fan of Nicki you have to identify with her, while to be a fan of Rihanna you’re a fan of yourself.”
– AS

”The water in “Pour It Up” reminded me of how hostess clubs/ strip clubs are the “water trade” in Japan, and how water signifies money — and sex, especially female sexuality. I mean, if this were a Kanye video, people would be like, “He’s walking on water. He’s Jesus.” Perhaps Rihanna is the real messiah.”
– SES
