Yes! The sun has made it to our Northern part of the world and my back is finally the shade of a tomato again. The struggle’s been real but we’ve made it through winter peeps. Celebration is called for. Personally, I do this by resting my eyes on Rihanna’s entrance to this season.

YASSSSS!! We finally got the first promo pictures of Rihanna for Dior.

Rihanna is getting ready to drop her first sunglasses collection for Dior. The shades will be available exclusively in Dior’s stores early June and come in six different colors: silver, blue, green, pink and red for $840 and of course a deluxe 24-karat gold-plated version for $1,950.

”The process was pretty seamless. I spent a day at Dior with their eyewear design team. I started by looking through all the archives to see what they’ve done in the past, then got acquainted with all the new materials. I literally sat there and drew and drew until I was happy with the design, and the team illustrated it for me right then and there. We picked materials and colors that same day, and after that it was a matter of weeks before I saw the first prototype.” – Rihanna

This is the first time Rih designs for Dior but she did collaborate with them last year when she became the first black woman to be the face of Dior (!!!!). They then shot a film inside Versailles to Goodnight Gotham (back then known as Only If For A Night) for the Secret Garden IV campaign.

The Clara Lionel Foundation is an organisation that Rihanna founded in 2012 in honor of her grandparents Clara and Lionel Brathwaite. The organisation works to improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts and culture.

Rih has been doing charity since she was 18 years old when she started the Believe Foundation. Since then she’s been doing a lot of projects in the fashion world to raise money and awareness to the battle against HIV/AIDS with both H&M and MAC (Viva Glam). She’s also been ambassador for UNICEF’s Tap Project and ”There for the Philippines”.

Clara (Gran Gran Dolly), Rihanna’s grandmother that the foundation is named after, passed away on June 30th, after a battle with cancer. Rihanna has paid tribute to her grandmother with a tattoo of the Egyptian goddess Isis and on June 30th in Zurich (1 year after Dolly passed away) a fan showed this sign to Rihanna while performing Diamonds.

The foundation has an annual Diamond Ball in December that’s been going on since 2014. The Diamond Ball is a fundraiser to benefit the CLF. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Big Sean, Kylie Jenner, Brad Pitt, Will Smith, Lionel Richie, Zendaya, Kevin Hart, Ne-yo and Ellen Pompeo has been seen at the event.

Today, Rihanna announced that they will be launching college scholarship programs through the foundation. Applications are open until June 10th for students in the US, Jamaica, Haiti, Barbados, Brazil, Cuba and Guyana.

”A lot of these kids, they’re really smart and they’re doing really well in school, but they may not have the access or the financial stability to take it any further than that. That’s why we started this program.” – Rihanna

Too Good is a 4 minute and 23 seconds long dancehall-inspired jam about treating your partner too good, being taken for granted. The track is produced by Nineteen85 and samples Jamaican dancehall artist Popcaan’s Love Yuh Bad in the outro. The song can’t be bought separately but Views is available on iTunes.

We’re of course talking about the new Calvin Harris // Rihanna song. Calvin posted a picture on Twitter two days ago announcing his new single ”This Is What You Came For” featuring Rihanna. And today, just 20 minutes ago, the song premiered on BBC Radio 1.

Last time the two collaborated was with the major hit We Found Love. The song spent 10 weeks at #1 on Billboard making it the only female artist to top the chart for 10 weeks in the 2010’s decade. Adele tied that record this year with Hello. The song is 9x PLATINUM by RIAA with 5.5M in pure sales making it Rihanna’s most successful single.

Not only did Calvin premiere the song on the radio, he also gave a quick interview talking about it:

”She’s got that iconic voice, she’s an icon within herself. Her voice is out of control!”

Calvin also mentioned that Rihanna first heard it at Coachella in a trailer two weeks ago. She said ”this is sick!”. Taylor Swift was seen at the festival wearing a jacket with the cover art on it.
