Like the devoted fangirl I am I started watching Bates Motel when it was announced Rihanna was to star as Marion Crane. I’ve sat through 4 (almost 5) seasons and finally, next week on Monday, Feb. 20 at 10 p.m. ET, Rih’s episode will air.

For those of you unfamiliar with Bates Motel, it’s a ”contemporary prequel to Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, giving a portrayal of how Norman Bates’ psyche unravels through his teenage years, and how deeply intricate his relationship with his mother, Norma, truly is.”.

And let me tell you, his psyche really unravels. I’ve sat and screamed in frustration over Norma’s protection of her clearly mentally ill teenager, she just doesn’t want to accept the fact that he needs help. WHICH MAKES HER CHARACTER SO ANNOYING AND SO WONDERFUL AT THE SAME TIME. I truly felt it was Norma’s show up until season 4 (and would have preferred it staying that way to be honest). Vera Farmiga’s acting is amazing. Unlike Norman I actually feel for her, while also wanting to rip my hair off in frustration.

Rihanna announced the news about her taking on the roll of Marion Crane from her hotel room in Stockholm back in ’16. This was the day after her 4th of July AWT concert. Anyone remember?

Writers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin have mentioned her portrayal of the famous character will be quite different from Janet Leigh’s original in the 1960s film, which is only natural. Listen while they talk about why Rihanna was chosen as Marion and what to expect in the interview below:

The whole Bey thing seem to come from Kanye’s rant about her and the Grammys the other week (right before his hospitalization). Funny how I see the same people that decided he was over after saying he’d vote for Trump holding him up for dissing Beyoncé…

Rihanna is in Barbados to celebrate the country’s 50 years of Independence. Prince Harry is also there which is a drag because now he’s in nearly every picture whereas I would have been a lot happier looking at Rih and Rih only.

Anyhow. Today is World AIDS day and the two participated in an event where they took a live HIV test to demonstrate how easily and quickly it can be done.

Last night they also attended the Mega Independece concert together with Prime Minister Freundel Stuart.

It’s nice to see Harry is as big a fangirl as the rest of us. Finally he is introduced to true royalty, the kind that doesn’t stem from a blood line but humility, courage and a badass femininity.

I get it Harry. I also had that stare upon being in the presence of Rihanna. 

It’s always a guessing game for us fans whether Rih will go Redanna, Greyanna, Pinkanna, Brownanna etc next time she change her hair. This time she surprised us with a return to Rastafarih though. If it’s for a photo shoot, music video (Love on the Brain coming up) is yet to be revealed.

And then came the candids…

She slayed the dreads back in 2012 too. On the American Idol final where she performed Where Have You Been and of course her social media. This selfie, for example:

The fact that she debuted the new look with just that, a selfie, is as major a moment as the dreads themselves to be honest. She’s been so absent from IG and Twitter lately, all I want are those kind of personal posts and pictures instead of management stuff. Hoping more is to come. <3

Once you make it official there’s no point in holding back, right? That sure seems to be the case with Aubrih. Since the VMAs they’ve been locking lips on stage during Drake’s Summer Sixteen Tour, walking hand in hand, doing some real dirty dancing on the dance floor and: gotten matching tattoos. At least we think they did, Drake’s is yet to be revealed.

So remember how Rihanna flew out to Toronto an OVO fest between her Paris and Malmö show? She didn’t just go there to spend time with Drake on stage, the two of them had a secret date at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada (he rented the entire place for them to share some alone time together) and from the looks of it, it was a real special night.

During the date Drake gave Rihanna a stuffed shark which she’s been seen carrying around ever since.

And last night she had it tattooed on her left ankle. Yep. That’s right.

The tattoo was done by Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy (who’s IG caption reads ”tattooing the amazing @badgalriri + @champagnepapi” which is why we’re thinking it’s hiding somewhere on Drizzy’s body as well) backstage.

Rihanna’s sported it under a bandage as she performed Bitch better have my money and Work and while we’re talking about that: what a performance. I’m not sure how to properly explain this for everyone to understand the impact, but to type down exactly what happened: Rihanna grabbed Drake’s neck and stimulated getting oral on stage. At his concert. In front of his fans. And his crew. It reminded me of the scene in Spring Breakers where two of the girls get James Franco’s character to give his own (loaded) gun a blow job.

After the show it’s the after party and the couple once again headed to E11EVEN Nightclub where, well, this happened.

The navy is all over the place photoshopping wedding pictures and researching baby names. Which is about as much fun we’ve had on social media after Rihanna’s pullback from such. I.e the excitement is real. Over and out from your number.1 Aubrih shipper!
