Tjejen på bilden heter Ceytra och kommer från Chicago. Jag har svaga minnen av att jag bläddrat igenom hennes soundcloud för några månder sedan utan att ha tagit någon större notis om innehållet. Idag såg jag hennes nya dubbelvideo, och skämdes direkt över att jag först nu insåg Ceytras storhet.
Det är just nu ganska lätt att klumpa ihop alla raptjejer från Chicago, de flesta kopplade till drillscenen på ett eller annat sätt. Det är svårare att försöka passa in Ceytra i det gänget. Hennes sound är visserligen ganska hårt, och innehåller små små drillingredienser, men jag skulle snarare beskriva det hon gör som inspiererat av typ TRVP (falsk trap)… men hon lyckas ändå hålla sitt sound och sina influenser på en bra nivå liksom.
