Den kanske sorgligaste biten, i mitt tycke, är att Mojangs ambition att hjälpa och stötta mindre spelprojekt nu med största sannolikhet kommer att försvinna. Med Microsoft som övergripande ägare finns inget sådant svängrum.
Anledningen till att Persson vill sälja företaget är att han helt enkelt tyckte att allting blev för stort. Ett lyxproblem månne, men frågan är om det är något han kan köpa/sälja sig fri från. Det är förstås väldigt svårt att döma honom, särskilt som vi inte vet alla detaljer, men det är inte utan att en undrar vad hans nästa steg blir.
Med de pengar han tjänat på den här affären skulle han, potentiellt, kunna starta en storskalig trippel-a-spelstudio och ha hundratals anställda under lång tid framåt (är Dice till salu, till exempel? Inga problem för Markus). Han skulle också kunna fortsätta förläggarverksamheten, om det var vad han önskade. Och han skulle verkligen kunna knalla tillbaka till sovrummet (som ligger i Stockholms dyraste lägenhet, om du undrade) och trycka på resetknappen för sin utvecklarkarriär.
