Avsnitt 49 är äntligen här! Vi samlades som vanligt i planka.fm-studion i Hornstull för att ha det trevligt och för att snacka om rap. Vi börjar avsnittet med att ringa upp Sveriges nya cloud/trap-hopp Ivory On The Beat. Hans nysläppta låt, den fantastiska Andreas Kleerup, har kanske det bästa konceptet vi hört i år; Ivory vill ha tag på Andreas Kleerups kran. Från hemorten Solna berättar Ivory om sina beats, sin rap, sina influenser och hur albumet Molnfällan (ute på lördag, 30e november) kom till. Vi pratar även lite om hur han kommer i kontakt med andra musiker i hela världen (läs: USA) via Soundcloud, och i Sverige via internet. ÄLSKAR INTERNET!!!
Avsnittet rullar vidare och vi pratar om hur vi upplevde Ken Rings avsnitt i Så mycket bättre. Hur blir Kens historia i ett sånt helylleformat som Så mycket bättre? Hur hanterade programmet Kens alla skandaler och Ken som musiker, och hur ligger det egentligen till med Kens omstridda homofobi? Och vem blir nästa års rappare i Så mycket bättre? (För det blir ju varken mer eller mindre än exakt antal rappare: 1).
Sista segmentet är en favorit, inspirerade av Cherries sång på Abidaz En dag som vi pratade om med Cherrie i avsnitt 48 bestämde vi oss för att spela varsin favoritsång i kategorin rap-med-sångrefräng. Hugo börjar med att spela upp den bästa kombinationen av vemod, melankoli och sockervaddsröst som han känner till, Sanna berättar om när hon hörde Yummy Binghams härliga stämma för första gången, och passar på att berätta om hur hon upptäckte några andra av sina R&B-favoriter genom just refränger på raplåtar. Petter chockade oss lite genom att välja en sång av en riktig ärke-d-bag, ett faktum Sanna och Hugo snabbt kommer över när de minns hur himla fin Petters rap + sång-låt faktiskt är.
Vi avslutar alltihop med att lyssna på en ny supertung sång av Shyst Red där Kevin Gates återigen bevisar hur extremt tung han är på refränger.
