Snow drop heter spelmotorn som ska driva nästa svenska stora spelexport: The Division. Det här klippet är inte så mycket en trailer som en presentation av Snow drop och Malmöbaserade spelutvecklarna på Massive. Sköna killar (och tjejer!) i mössa som gör mäktiga spel, alltså. Helt ärligt ser allt de visar upp så fruktansvärt bra ut. Brallor, möt kräm.
Sim City
Ett av senare års största klavertramp stod Electronic Arts för när de släppte nya Sim City. Ett spel som såg fint ut på många plan, men på de flesta andra var fruktansvärt trasigt. Och så krävde det att du var uppkopplad för att spela det (det i kombination med att spelservrarna som utvecklarna hookats upp med inte pallade trycket ledde till att ingen kunde spela spelet alls den första tiden). Det handlar förstås om att förläggaren vill kontrollera vem som spelar spelet – eller snarare, att vi alla betalat för det. Så på grund av ett gäng pirater fick ALLA som ville spela Sim City lida. Thats kapitalistisk rättvisa for ya!
Anyways. Nu har det gått så lång tid från släpp att EA kan tillåta ett offline-läge. En anledning att marknadsföra sitt spel igen och få lite fler sales. Hela den här grejen är ju fruktansvärt märklig. Men allra konstigast blir det ju när en kollar på den här trailern. Går det att idiotförklara (Klickar jag på single player?!) OCH ägna sig åt historierevisionism (Varför har inte spel alltid funkat så här… eller vänta?!) mer än så här?
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
Så, prologen till Metal Gear Solid: Phantom Pain släpps imorn. Det här är lanseringstrailern. Det ser väldigt mycket ut som ett teknikdemo för något som säkert kommer bli fett (om en gillar Metal Gear-serien). Jag gillar Metal Gear-serien, men har ändå lite svårt att peppa upp för Ground Zeroes. Jag menar visst, det har Keifer Sutherland som röstskådis för Snakeu, men vad är det här egentligen? Och varför får vi inte se mer platser än den där militärbasen? Är det verkligen allt?
